Fairs and festivals always have a perfect “date-night” vibe to me. Maybe it’s the lights and the laughter … and the smell of fried goodies. Luckily, here in Central Florida, we have lots of options for a festive Valentine’s events. Here are a few ideas we love:

• ORLANDO AREA

  • Quaint fishing village, lots of seafood and fun at the Cortez Commercial Fishing Festival Feb. 16 & 17.
  • The perfect date! Fried food, games, rides and lots of lights at the Florida State Fair in Tampa happening Feb. 7-18.
  • The Illuminated Knight Parade is a vibrant, colorful celebration of Tampa’s Latin heritage put on by Krewe of the Knights of Sant’ Yago’ and the City of Tampa. It’s a great way to spend a Saturday night!
